As a senior officer at Mortgage Express in Vancouver, Washington, Laurie Hansen has developed a reputation as a reverse mortgage expert -- combining her passions for customer service, teaching, sales and finance.
Hansen is a member of The National Association of Responsible Loan Officers, holds a "Silver Member" ranking from a nationally recognized mortgage group and has earned top producer awards throughout her career. She is also a member of Women in Finance (WIF) and annually attends local and national mortgage training seminars to ensure she is on the cutting edge of her business. After graduating from Southern Oregon State in 1987 with a degree in Math Education, Hansen began a ten year teaching and sales career.
She finds the mortgage business very rewarding and challenging -- especially when she helps clients find financing to help purchase first homes, refinance mortgages for renovations and working with seniors to realize reverse mortgage potential.
She attributes her success to the attention placed on each individual transaction and taking the time to thoroughly explain the loan process. She actively communicates with clients, listing and selling agents, sellers and escrow officers to minimize any "surprises" that may come up during financial processes and has developed time management tools to keep all parties current.
